things to know

We would be delighted if you can share this day with us, and we are excited to show you a snapshot of our life in Australia.

We’d like to help make your trip as smooth as possible, so with enough notice we can help with accommodation for the wedding.

It’s a big ol’ island and there is a lot to see!
We hope you can make the most of this excuse to visit. As it gets closer, we’ll share some of our favourite things to do in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

The rest is up to you!

The wedding party

On the day

The ceremony and after-party will be held at Alkina Wine Estate, the beautiful vineyard Malcolm tends to.

Alkina is near Greenock in the Barossa Valley, around an hour from Adelaide.

The rest of the weekend

We recommend staying in the Barossa for the weekend, and exploring the region on Friday (or Sunday if you’re feeling up for it)!

We’ll be arranging a get-together on Friday night for overseas guests and the bridal party.

Lodgings & transport

Let us know if you are interested in sharing accommodation with other guests and we can help connect you and suggest somewhere nice to stay!

As transport options are limited in the area, we’ll look to book some buses to get everyone home on Saturday night.

Plus-ones

You’re coming all this way — if there’s someone you’d like to bring, we’d love to have them!

Christmas on the beach?

We invite you to join us, along with our families, for an Aussie Christmas at Second Valley. We’ll put on a big lunch at Emily’s family shack and end the day with some beach cricket.

If you RSVP before Christmas 2023, we can organise accommodation for you in the Valley.

Getting to australia

Some thoughts on flights

~ Book early for the best prices

~ Qatar is currently the only airline flying directly to Adelaide

~ It is typically cheaper to fly to Sydney or Melbourne

~ If you’re coming from Scotland, it may be cheaper to travel to London and then fly out from there

We know it’s a long way

While we would love to share this special day with you, we appreciate it’s a long trip and a busy time of year.

If you can’t make it, please know our door is always open. We would love to have you visit at any time.
